End procrastination now: 4 tips to get that thing done!

Today I sent my very first newsletter. Ever.

I put it on my To Do list about 4 years ago. Let’s say I had to overcome a tiny little bit of procrastination. But I managed! And if I can do it, so can you. Let me share with you what worked for me. (Yes, that means I just assume you procrastinate too, after all we’re both only human right?)

Just pick something that has been sitting on your To-do list for way too long. If it has been on your list for longer than four years, please send me a short note to make me feel better about myself. You will make my day 😉 You have something on your mind? Let’s fix that right away!

1. Ask yourself WHY

Why do you want to do this thing in the first place? If you know why you do something, what you want to achieve, and what positive results your action will have for you and your loved ones, chances of you procrastinating will shrink immediately.

2. An accountability-partner.

Someone who knows about your project who asks you every week about the progress you made. Preferably someone who is not your best friend in the world, so the pressure to tell them you did it is higher.

3. Make it small

If you have a massive task ahead, it becomes a daunting thing. Hard to even start.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. Not even a first mile. Think smaller. What is the first step you can take today? I’ll give you a hint below 😉

4. Schedule it

If it’s not scheduled, it’s not real. If you block time for it in your calendar, chances you are actually going to do it are so much bigger. And if you started it, chances of you ending it are bigger. So go grab your calendar and plan it.
